I remember when I was a child that somebody rid me on a enormous dog, she was a mastiff which my parents called her Niza . Since then I started to get on well with mastiffs and since 1932 onwards I’ve been a great admirer and friend of them.
I am José Luis Moncada and nowadays, at my age and with many experiences on me I am a specialist judge in Spanish Mastiffs and I equally go on being a great protector of them.

My affix of Campollano has the number 232 and the last number that Real Sociedad Canina of Spain has now is 5160, but of course, between 1953 and 2007 there is 52 years of hard and continuous work in this breed.

What I admirer most in mastiffs is their massiveness and what nowadays is called genuineness (reduced only to the abundance of skins) I don’t know why, because I understand that genuineness is the complete identification with the standard of breed, admiring skins and wrinkles but over all I admirer when all these things are gatherer in a mastiff with its correct movements and perfect angulations and also very important with a noble and strong nature.

I am member of Sociedad Española del Perro Mastín Español, established in 1980, for 27 years. I have the number 2 of membership. Last number is around 531. In this society I’ve been twice Vice-chairmen for several years and also I’ve been in charge of organization of 2 monographs in Valladolid and León where there was given the keys to get the champion’s title of Spain. I’ve been jury in several monographs which they have allowed me to meet a lot of dogs.

At present I have 25 female mastiffs and 7 males and several dogs of rebreeding. I usually use the most excellent males to cover my dogs, for this reason I have incorporated in my breeding grounds, I believe, almost all the last champions not only because their titles but for their quality.
